Race for GRACE

The Greater Richland Area Cancer Elimination (GRACE) will be hosting a fun new event in 2024, "Race for GRACE", will kick off May 18th. This event will be family friendly and inclusive of all abilities and fitness levels.  There will be a 1/4 mile kids race, a 5K fun run/walk, a 10K run and a special 1 mile fun run/walk. The 1 mile will include our firefighters challenge containing fire department teams racing in their gear. Besides this being a fundraiser for GRACE we want to encourage people to be more active.  Research and studies have shown that physical activity leads to reduced cancer risk.

The goal is to have over 200 runners registered for the event, which would include an estimate of 25 participants in the Kids ¼ mile race. There will be several opportunities for businesses to help:

  • One Start/Finish Line Sponsor

  • Up to 30 T-Shirt Sponsors

  • Two Water Station Sponsors

  • Swag Bag Donations

    • Kids Race - targeting items for kids 12 and under

    • 1 mile, 5K and 10K participants
